Susan West obtained her BFA from the University of Houston. She is certified by the State Board of Education for Art grades 8-12. Her experience as a public school teacher includes darkroom, jewelry fabrication, sculpture, Art II drawing/painting and Art I Design. She currently lives in  the Dallas, Texas, area where her personal work focuses on jewelry design and ceramics.
